Precision ag technologies have changed the way we farm, and John Deere has been at the forefront of that change. Adding the AutoTrac™ assisted steering system and JDLink™ Modem options to Gator Utility Vehicles brings precision ag technology to farms of all sizes.

The AutoTrac Ready option enables hands-free steering through the field decreasing overlap and lowering input costs while reducing operator fatigue. The JDLink Modem option connects your vehicle to the John Deere Operations Center so the vehicle can be managed with the rest of your fleet.

Simplify field boundaries

  • Check field boundaries and identify hazards as the Gator Utility Vehicle steers itself along established boundary lines.
  • Create new boundary lines, even when the soil is too wet for larger equipment.

Improve soil mapping

  • The days of picking a tree across the field to navigate are over. Use guidance lines to create a sampling grid and let your Gator Utility Vehicle keep you on track as you pull plugs across the field.

Connect your Gator Utility Vehicle to the rest of your fleet

  • Leave the USB drives at home as you wirelessly send your data to and from your Gator Utility Vehicle.
  • A planter operator can flag the exact location of a large rock so the Gator UV can be sent to the location to remove the hazard.

Save time and stop waiting for the perfect day to spray

  • When paired with a tow behind sprayer and rate controller, the Gator Utility Vehicle’s lighter weight allows work to be completed when the ground is too wet for larger equipment.
  • Speed through spraying by allowing the Gator Utility Vehicle to steer a predefined path around buildings and fence rows.

Track productivity, maintenance, and machine vitals

  • Track the current and past locations of your Gator Utility Vehicle in the John Deere Operations Center, just like the rest of your fleet.
  • Know when your Gator Utility Vehicle is ready for scheduled maintenance

Share StarFire™ Receiver and Universal Display

  • You can leave precision ag technology components installed year-round or share your StarFire Receiver and Universal Display with another piece of equipment.

The cargo box measures 1143 mm (45 in.) long, 1320 mm (52 in.) wide, and 305 mm (12 in.) deep.

835R signature

Shockingly expensive for suck a poor quality machine. My 5th and last gator due to poor quality and lack of John Deere response. Stay away from John Deere. Multiple serious problems on a brand new machine within the first few days.

Top of the line

Had this beautiful machine for around 3 years. Works good on all our trails. Only thing I want to change is the radio. Very poor quality

Underpowered and overpriced

I know it's not a RZR, but dang...this thing can hardly pull itself out of the way. Horrible shocks, noisy interior and squeaky. I replaced a Ranger Northstar with the 835R cab. Should have kept my Polaris. I do like the Chery engine, but it's still way underpowered. Should be top quality throughout, since I paid a premium for the Deere.

Horrible waste of money

835r signature extremely poorly put together. Problems from day one, including air conditioner leaks, roof leaks, internal moulding very cheaply and warps. Too many problems to list, but for a 35 k machine a horrific waste of money. Avoid this machine and John Deere as a whole

Many Many Many problems

I have had one for 3 years now. Have had 4 rear shocks changed. 2 in warranty and 2 out of pocket. Have had all kinds of electrical issues. It is the loudest machine in my entire farm. You can hear it from 2 miles away. It does really good with the electric over hydraulic snow plow and that's about it.

The wife and I just love this!!!!

I have had several gators and to tell the truth I am a big JD fan right out of the gate. I have been on the fence for several years about purchasing a newer gator and been looking at used ones. 48 months zero interest we thought why not. Got it just before thanksgiving and we just love it. Drove it all over town, helps the wife take in groceries and I get a new toy to deck out.

I llike the unit, except for one thing.

The power steering stops quite often. I then need to stop the engine, restart, and then it goes as long as it wants to, but then kicks out again. My dealer can't seem to find out why.
