Features
The 54-in. (137-cm) Snow Blower has the capacity to handle big snow-removal jobs:
- It works well in all snow conditions and is suited for snow removal around recreational parks, industrial parks, and other applications where snow must be moved greater distances.
- It is ideal for home and estate owners in heavy snow regions.
- It is more effective than single-stage snow throwers when operating in deep or drifted light-snow conditions and crusted, packed snow.
- Hydraulic chute rotation is a standard feature that plugs directly into the dual selective control valve (SCV) (loader joystick control - compact utility tractors).
- The chute’s deflector cap can be adjusted with a large, easy-to-use knob. Optional remote spout cap control kits are available for most tractors.
Front quick-hitch allows for tool-free change between snow blower, rotary broom, and front blade.
The low-speed auger picks up snow and moves it toward the center of the machine into the high-speed rotor, where it is blown out of the discharge chute.
Generally, two-stage snow blowers are more effective than single-stage snow throwers when operating in deep or drifted snow conditions.
The hydraulic cylinder and cable assembly provide a compact and efficient means of rotating the spout from the tractor seat:
- Enhances operator convenience and increases productivity
- Rotates spout up to 200 degrees (100 degrees to each side) to place snow where desired
The discharge spout has an adjustable deflector cap to control the height and distance that the snow is blown:
- Optional remote spout cap control kits are available to allow the operator to change the angle of the discharge deflector on the go without leaving the seat. On model year 2017 and newer 2025R Tractors, the spout cap is adjusted by an electric actuator. On other tractors, a flexible cable connects the snow blower spout cap to a T-handle near the operator.
- Remote spout cap control kit for riding lawn equipment and 2210, 2305, 4010, 4100, 4110, and 4115 Tractors
- Remote spout cap control kit for model year 2013-2016 2025R, model year 2013-2016 2032R, 2320, 2520, and 2720 Tractors
- Remote spout cap control kits for 1023E, 1025R, 1026R, and model year 2017 and newer 2025R Tractors
- A remote spout cap control kit is not available for 1025R and 1026R Tractors with cabs.
Hydraulic hoses for the chute-angling cylinder can be easily changed to come out the right or left side as needed so the 47-in. (119- cm) Quick-Hitch Snow Blower can fit X Series Tractors or 425, 445, 455 Tractors.
NOTE: The 54-in. (137-cm) Quick-Hitch Snow Blower is not compatible with the 425, 445, and 455 Tractors.
Drive system features:
- Telescoping universal joint drive shaft with a lock-back collar and spline-align feature enables easy attachment to the tractor power take-off (PTO).
- A support rod is provided to position the drive shaft for easy installation of the snow thrower.
- A low maintenance enclosed chain drive.
The auger is driven by the tractor's 2000-rpm front power take-off (PTO):
- Engaged by the tractor PTO clutch
- Efficient bevel gear drive with a 5.5-to-1 ratio
- Uses precision bearings in the cast-iron gearbox
- Auger speed of 176 rpm
Shear bolts are provided to protect the snow blower drive system, impeller, and auger:
- Shear bolt at the impeller protects the drive system if an object should get caught in the impeller.
- Shear bolt at each end of the auger protects the drive system from damage if a chunk of ice or other solid object should get caught in the auger.
- Four spare shear bolts are provided in storage holes located on the auger housing.
The extra wide shoe is made of high-carbon, heat-treated steel:
- Provides significant wear life improvement in commercial applications or abrasive conditions
- Mount to each side of the snow blower to ensure smooth cleaning operation
- Easily replaced if they wear out, which saves the bottom side of the snow blower from excessive wear
The front implement slips into and locks onto the front quick-hitch with attached snap pins:
- Fast and easy installation with no tools or loose parts
- Same hitch for front blade, rotary brooms, and snow blowers
NOTES:
1) 2305, model year 2016 and older 2025R and 2032R, 2320, 2520, and 2720 Tractors must be equipped with front-attaching support kit for use with the Quik-Tatch front hitch.
2) If planning to use a Quik-Tatch front hitch with an OnRamp™ Mower (model year 2016 and older 2025R and 2032R, 2320, 2520, 2720 only), a front hitch/mid-mower combo bracket is needed to retain a tool-free change between the front hitch and the mid-mower deck.
